You need to possess the legal right to live and work in the UK to be considered for employment. Hilltop primarily works with children and some vulnerable adults, to ensure the safety of our clients and fulfil our responsibilities references & DBS checks will be required and thoroughly checked as part of our child protection policy, to assist with this process we will pay for this DBS check to be undertaken. It is vital that you do not apply for employment with us if there is any reason why you cannot be placed in this position of trust.

Instructional Team

Hilltop Outdoor Centre has plenty to offer, whether you are an experienced instructor or if it's your first time working in the outdoors.

The role covers many bases. It offers an opportunity to work in a highly respected outdoor centre with returning clients all year round. This provides a stable work environment, rather than a very seasonal employment offered by similar centres. Due to the nature of the job, the working environment is very rewarding, with one of the best aspects of this job, seeing children achieve things they never thought they could & knowing that you had a big part to play in their success. We are looking for energetic & friendly people who are willing to learn, enjoy working with children, have a commitment to customer service & that are looking for a satisfying practical job.

You will be responsible for delivering a range of activity sessions from Archery to High Roped Activities throughout the day, as well as working with groups some evenings, to engage with them in their free time with woodland games, taking them through meal sittings, liaising with teachers and generally organising the group throughout their stay.

All Instructors undergo a comprehensive onsite training & we put forward appropriate candidates for apprenticeships in activity leadership with Easton & Otley College. All instructors are offered competitive weekly wage, staff uniform, & access to training & development opportunities that reflects the job role.

Working together this team will cater for up to 60 people with one or two health, homemade meal options per sitting.

We run an annual stabilised hours system to ensure a regular weekly income, normally weekly hours will range from 16 to 30 dependent on the exact position being offered. Hours of work are set into shift times of 4/6 hours typically between the hours of 7am and 7pm, these are equally distributed within the team across weekdays and weekends.
